These folks averaged an increase of 8 lbs. over the holidays. And what’s worse? These studies also indicated that many people never shed the weight that they gain, which then compounds over time.
Studies aside, perhaps what is most essential is you! What happens to your body over the holidays? Are you grappling with a few additional pounds that prove challenging to shed as the new year unfolds?

Next, we have Thanksgiving. Maintaining a daily calorie intake of 1800–2400 calories is generally advised based on your height and weight. However, the average Thanksgiving meal surprisingly amounts to around 3,000 calories. That is just lunch alone. This doesn’t include any appetizers or snacks you had beforehand, which average another 1500 calories. With one meal, you quadruple your recommended daily calorie intake. Immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday comes a swirl of holiday parties, luncheons, office parties, family reunions, and holiday baking events. The opportunities to overindulge are many. Belly Fat
Then there are the winter holiday feasts, whether Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza or another festival that you celebrate; you certainly have at least one holiday feast with loved ones to attend. These feasts also average 3000+ calories per meal. Belly Fat
It’s little wonder folks gain a few extra pounds with all the delectable food, holiday baked goods, candy, and beverages! Unfortunately, many people throw up the towel and feel that there is no way to get through the holidays without overindulging and gaining excess weight. But it is feasible. Belly Fat
But it’s enough about how much weight you’re going to gain. Let’s talk about how to keep it off and even reduce a few pounds while you’re at it.
How to Enjoy Your Holiday Festivities and Still Lose Weight
The good news is that it is possible to enjoy all those great holiday parties without being condemned to buy larger clothes in the new year. You just need to prepare ahead and be wise about how you enjoy your parties and festivities—and how you take care of your health in between all the events. Belly Fat

1. Don’t Skip Meals on Party Days:
People often find it advisable to skip meals before parties and feasts to make up for the enormous dinner that is approaching. Skipping meals leaves you hungrier, boosting the chance of overeating. Opt for healthy, balanced meals to keep your body satisfied. This helps you consume fewer portions during the meal or party. Instead of hovering around the h*** orders and aimlessly grazing during the event, construct a little plate for yourself with the delicacies that you want, so you are careful about how much you are consuming. Try a few nibbles of the meals you prefer, rather than a full dish of each. Savor them as you eat so you genuinely enjoy them. This also helps decrease excess.
3. Green Smoothie Meal Replacements:
With all the holiday excess, let your body reset itself by eating healthy foods between the festivities. Eat multiple servings of fruit and veggies daily to help your body clean out the surplus of fats, sugars, processed foods, and empty calories you are taking in throughout the festivities.
